Shelf Life & Storage
How long do your caramel apples stay fresh?
Our caramel apples are made fresh and hold their quality well with proper storage.
Shelf Life & Storage
Countertop: Best enjoyed within 5–7 days when kept in a cool, dry place.
Refrigerator: Stays fresh for up to 2 weeks. Over time, the core of the apple will naturally soften first, while the outer portion remains crisp and enjoyable.
If you’re planning for a specific event or holiday, refrigeration will maintain the best quality until you’re ready to serve.
How to Serve
How should they be served?
For the best flavor, texture, and presentation:
Allow the apple to come to room temperature so the caramel softens properly.
Slice the apple rather than biting into it for cleaner, easier portions.
Cut approximately ½ inch away from the skewer on all sides to avoid the core.
Avoid eating the core and skewer area, as these parts break down the fastest and are not intended for consumption.
These steps ensure the best eating experience and the highest product quality.
Made in a facility that handles ingredients that contain gluten, nuts, and/or soy.
All our caramel recipes and confection varieties contain dairy.
Shelf Life:
We take pride in crafting our caramel and confections without any preservatives.
Apples: For optimal freshness, it's advisable to consume them upon receipt. If not immediately consumed, refrigeration is recommended to maintain their quality. We suggest storing them for no longer than 7 days. Before consumption, allow refrigerated apples to reach room temperature (approximately 60-90 minutes) for the best cutting and tasting experience.
Note: Remember to cut around the apple stick in a tic-tac-toe pattern, leaving out the central core. Avoid eating the core of the apple.
Caramel Dipped Confections: If you’d like to savor them longer, you can extend the freshness of our caramel dipped confections by many months by storing them in air tight packaging, either in the refrigerator or freezer. Simply allow them to return to room temperature before indulging. Of course we recommend enjoying them at their freshest upon delivery.
Let me be clear: The Carmel Tree deserves five stars, a Nobel Prize, and possibly its own national holiday. The caramel candy is so addictive that I’m considering starting a support group.
But here’s the problem:
If you go there…
If you buy even one caramel apple…
If you take even one bag of caramel candy…
That means I don’t get it.
So while I must acknowledge that The Carmel Tree is a caramel‑coated gift to humanity, I must also insist — loudly, publicly, and with great dramatic flair — that you stay far, far away.
Trust me.
It’s for the best.
(For my best.)
If you value your sanity, your self‑control, or your ability to fit into your jeans, I strongly advise you to avoid The Carmel Tree at all costs. Their caramel apples are so outrageously delicious that I briefly considered faking my own disappearance just so I wouldn’t have to share them with my family.
The caramel itself? A glossy, buttery miracle that tastes like it was handcrafted by angels who quit heaven to pursue a career in artisanal sugar engineering. The apples? Crisp enough to shatter your expectations but soft enough to make you question whether fruit has any right being this seductive.
And the caramel candy? I’m convinced it’s a controlled substance. I ate one piece and immediately began planning a heist to secure the rest of their inventory.
So yes — The Carmel Tree is phenomenal. Life‑changing. A spiritual experience wrapped in cellophane.
But please, for the love of all things holy, do not go there.
I need them to have plenty of stock left for me.
The Carmel Tree is, without exaggeration, the single greatest threat to my personal dignity. Their caramel apples are so good that I blacked out halfway through eating one and woke up in a state of blissful shame, clutching the stick like it was a trophy.
The caramel candy? I don’t even want to talk about it. It’s too powerful. Too dangerous. Too perfect. If word gets out, society will collapse. People will riot. Economies will crumble. I will have to fight strangers in the street for the last bag.
So here’s my official review:
The Carmel Tree is amazing. Spectacular. A triumph of human achievement.
And I absolutely, wholeheartedly, aggressively do not recommend them.
Because if you start buying their caramel apples, that means fewer for me.
And I’m not emotionally stable enough to handle that kind of scarcity.
I am obsessed with your apples! I have ordered before any try to get them around my birthday ( a treat to me)! They are worth the price(a little pricey) BUT, I love them!! I think no others can compare!
I ordered the Jumbo Gourmet Caramel Apple-Pecan Turtle. It was so delicious. The apple was very fresh and the packaging kept everything together. I can’t wait to purchase it again and try new ones. Thank you
I am very disappointed. The order arrived on 8/5 and it immediately brought the box in upon delivery and sent you an email advising if the problem. The ice pack was hot and all 4 items had completely melted. It was so bad, I had Caramel all over the shredded packing inside the box. It never even entered my mind to take a picture it was such a mess. I refrigerated but it had melted down and wrappings were stuck. I received no response to the email I sent you. Very unhappy. They looked like they would have been nice if not melted.
The Carmel apples were all very
Fresh and Delicious. Lots of Carmel anf chocolate. Nicely packed as well. Very pleased with Apples and shared with friends. Thank you

My purchase was a gift for a friend. The recipient loves the caramels. She had been shopping for the chocolate caramels and could not find them anywhere. She was absolutely thrilled with the gift.
Absolutely the best I’ve ever eaten and I’m 75 years old!! Will order again. Was surprised how well they made the trip to Columbia Illinois in the current extreme temperatures we’ve been experiencing.
These caramel apples were amazing! I'm so glad I got them. We always get caramel apples in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin every year which are good. But these bypassed those.
THANK YOU 🍎 💗
These apples are soooo good! I ate them all already and therefore can’t include a picture. The apples are big and juicy and there are plenty of toppings on each one. They’re a little expensive but boy are they worth it!
I love your caramels! I always buy some when I'm visiting family in Idaho Falls to bring back home. I request them for gifts for birthdays and Christmas and if I run out, I order them on line and treat myself!
I have now ordered twice from the Caramel Tree. Both times, the shipment arrived on time and cold. Not an easy thing to do in Arizona in summer. The apples are always crisp and never have brown spots. The flavors they offer are delicious. I looked for a reliable caramel apple company for a while and was often disappointed in the quality, price or service. The Caramel Tree excels in all three categories.
Ordered for the first time and they were amazing. I got toffee, snickers, apple pie and Oreo and enjoyed each one immensely. Will definitely order again.
I am amazed how smooth and flavorful these carmels are. Not only did I enjoy the apples but I shared them with my favorite neighbor who said they were delicious. Perhaps some of the best caramel I have ever had and I’m 75 so I’ve had my share.
